Marc Petit est un sculpteur d’âmes.
Il va chercher ce qui se niche au fond de la matière, ce qui palpite au fond de l’humain, et le révèle au grand jour avec cette sincérité et cette fougue qui n’appartiennent qu’à lui. Oui, ça pique un peu parfois, mais la plupart du temps, regardez-y de près, ce qu’il révèle se nomme compassion, solidarité, don de soi, contemplation, prière, bienveillance, inquiétude, étonnement, tendresse, et j’en passe…
Il existe dans cette sculpture une humanité insubmersible à laquelle on se confronte sitôt qu’on s’en approche. < Ludovic Duhamel
